Breakouts can be tough, and popping that pimple is the last thing you should do. But that doesn’t mean you should just sit around and merely wait for it to clear either.

There are different ways to help treat acne and reduce the redness, but this DIY Acne Away Honey Facial Mask is definitely one of my favorties. It’s a safe and effective natural treatment, plus you probably have everything you need in your kitchen already. It is super easy to make too.

Acne Away Honey Facial Mask

What You Need:

  • 1 Tablespoon of Honey (Remember, when it comes to honey, the darker, the better.
  • 1 Teaspoon of Baking Soda
  • A Dash of Cinnamon

Why You Need It:

Honey: It is anti bacterial, which helps fight off and prevent acne. Honey also helps get rid of excess oil but while keeping the skin moisturized at the same time. It cleans out pores and has a tightening effect too. It helps lighten the skin and any marks and blemishes left by acne. Plus it evens leaves your skin soft and smooth too.

Baking Soda: This also helps to really clean your skin and has anti bacterial properties too, not to mention that it also helps fade acne scars as well.

Cinnamon: Cinnamon acts as an anti fungal astringent, so it also helps fight off acne. Plus, it smells really good too.

What To Do:

This acne away honey facial mask it great, not just because it works but because it only requires three ingredients, as mentioned above, and is super simple to make. All you have to do is get a clean bowl, add the honey, baking soda, and cinnamon, then mix everything together. Mix it well until you have paste like substance with a rather thick consistency. Then your homemade mask is good and ready.

How To Apply:

1. Wash face as you normally would.
2. Pat dry.
3. Take your homemade honey mask and apply evenly over your face and neck.
4. Massage it in in a circular motion.
5. Let it sit for a good 15-20 minutes.
6. Rinse off with water.
7. Pat dry.
8. Follow up with your favorite moisturizer.
