Something she knows all too well. This year she published her first book The Body Book: The Law of Hunger, the Science of Strength, and Other Ways to Love Your Amazing Body. Cameron On Eating Right:

“As I get older, I realized I was working a little bit harder at digesting what I was eating, and I thought it is not fair to my body to keep doing this. If you are giving it a bunch of crap all the time, it will break down quicker and deteriorate quicker, so I stopped.”

Cameron follows a diet that is filled with healthy proteins, eats tons of beans and veggies. She reveals one of her all time favorite breakfast meals below.

“I’m always looking for new ways to build flavor and have fun with my carbs. For instance, I prefer savory over sweet, so in the mornings when I make oatmeal, instead of eating it with something sweet, I make a yummy concoction of sautéed zucchini with collard greens, caramelized shallots, and egg whites. I top it all off with ponzu sauce (a Japanese sauce made from rice vinegar and citrus) or some lemon juice. It’s a breakfast that is delicious and savory and all the things that I love to taste. I created this dish so that I could eat oatmeal in the morning, because it is an awesome source of complex carbohydrates.”

On Keeping Hydrated:

One of Cameron’s easy tricks to staying young at just about any age is drinking a bottle of water the first thing when you wake up.

“Every night before I go to sleep, I fill up a big glass bottle with water and put it on my bathroom counter. First thing in the morning, right after I brush my teeth, I drink it. Because I know that during the night, while I am sleeping, all of that breathing in and out exhales a lot of moisture from my lungs. Imagine how much water you can lose during eight hours of breathing! Because we can’t replenish it while we are sleeping, it’s important to rehydrate once we wake. Once I drink the water in the bottle by my sink, I feel it immediately. I go from being a wilted plant to one that has just been rejuvenated by the rain”

Drinking water is not only good for keeping fit and losing weight but it is also good for the skin as it keeps it hydrated from within (remember, dry skin is a sin and is the root of all wrinkles!), and it is good for your overall health too.

“You need eight cups of water a day, and I always recommend drinking at least 32 ounces by lunch.”

“Personally, I love the gym. I love being around people who are sweaty and pushing themselves. Who are all focused on the same goals. I love being in a group like that.”
