Cerebral palsy:-
Cerebral palsy is the neurological disorder that occur in infancy, and permanently damage the body movement and muscle co- ordination. The main cause of cerebral palsy is the improper functioning of brain, the part which controls muscle movements. The problems in muscles and nerves doesn’t cause cerebral palsy.
Causes of cerebral palsy :-
- Damage to brain in early childhood,
- accident causes brain injury,
these are main causes of cerebral palsy.
Symptoms of cerebral palsy:-
In early days child may not show any symptoms.
later the symptoms:
- walking with one foot or leg dragging,
- lack of muscle co-ordination during movement.
- difficult involuntary movements.
No complete cure for cerebral palsy. but treatment may improve muscular movements.
Pacemaker:-
When heart fail to beat normally, heart beat decreases is called as bradycardia. ” pacemaker is an artificial, electronic device used to induce heart beat, and makes heart beat normal”.
Usually the sinoatrial node in the heart generates electrical impulses, which are conducted to all the region of heart through atrioventricular node, and purkinje fibre and makes heart to contract. when an abnormality in conduction system of heart, heart becomes unable to contract normally.
* The pacemaker acts as a sinoatrial node and produces electrical impulses. hence pacemaker has vital function in saving life of persons.
* pacemaker produces electrical impulses which makes heart to contract , i.e. heart beat.
* pace maker listens the normal heart impulses, and generates impulses according to heart need as it to be normal.
* temporary pacemaker : is used to produce electrical impulses temporarily, in conditions such as reversible heart diseases. temporary pacemaker is used when heart beat is low. Once heart beat becomes normal, temporary pacemaker is removed. temporary pace maker is used after heart surgeries, reversible heart attacks, etc.
* permanent pacemaker : is used to produce electrical impulses for long time, when heart conduction becomes poor for long time, such as irreversible heart diseases which causes slow heart rate.
