Cerebral palsy : causes, symptoms, treatment

Cerebral palsy:-

Cerebral palsy is the neurological disorder that occur in infancy, and permanently damage the body movement and muscle co- ordination. The main cause of cerebral palsy is the improper functioning of brain, the part which controls muscle movements. The problems in muscles and nerves doesn’t cause cerebral palsy.

Causes of cerebral palsy :-

• Damage to brain in early childhood,

• Meningitis in infancy,

• viral encephalitis,

• accident causes brain injury,

• child abuse,

these are main causes of cerebral palsy.

Symptoms of cerebral palsy:-
In early days child may not show any symptoms.

later the symptoms:

• walking with one foot or leg dragging,

• a crouched gait,

• walking on toes,

• lack of muscle co-ordination during movement.

• stiff or tight muscles,

• difficult involuntary movements.

No complete cure for cerebral palsy. but treatment may improve muscular movements.
