According to a recent study, drinking four cups of coffee a day can cut the risk of oral cancer up to 50 percent, it is caused because of the protective effect of coffee. Unfortunately, it does not influence for people who drink alcohol or smoke. As quoted by, the researchers from the American Cancer Society, Atlanta, said that this protective effect is not from caffeine, but the content of hundreds of other natural antioxidants found in coffee.

These results validate the study that done two years ago by a group of researchers, they claim that four cups a day lowered the risk of cancer by 39 percent, according to the American Journal of Epidemiology. Noted that the British consumers spend 70 million cups of coffee a day. This popular drink has also been linked to reducing the chances of developing stroke, bowel cancer, and Alzheimer.

However, drinking too much can also increase heart rate and blood pressure. Pregnant women should be advised to limit their intake of coffee and do not overdo it, because it is worried can increase the chances of having a small baby.

More than 6,000 people per year in the UK are diagnosed with oral cancer and the disease has killed about 1,600 people annually.
