It’s true that coffee gives you that morning zing to prep you up for the daily grind. Speaking of grind, did you know that it can also rejuvenate your skin as well? Coffee grounds are great for naturally exfoliating your skin in a safe and effective way.
So “wake up” your younger looking you because when it comes to your skin cells, with this coffee coconut scrub it’s out with the old and in with the new.
So go ahead and check out this recipe:
What You Need:
- 1 cup of ground coffee
- 1 cup of sugar
- ½ cup of coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla
What To Do:
What is so great about this coffee coconut scrub is that aside from the delicious smell (coffee, coconut, and vanilla? How fast can you say YUM?) and the soft smooth skin that comes along with it is that it is super easy to make and you probably already have most if not all ingredients in your kitchen already.
Okay, so here is what you do. First melt the coconut oil, either on the stove or just pop it in the microwave for a bit, and then let it cool. You don’t want to wait until it’s hardened, just that it isn’t hot. Then simply mix in your ground coffee, sugar, coconut out, and vanilla. Mix well. After, move to an airtight container for storage. Voila, you have just made your very own coffee coconut scrub.
How To Use:
Just like any other scrub, wet face then take some and start gently rubbing on to your skin in a circular motion. Keep on massaging for about 2-3 minutes all over your face and neck (or pretty much wherever you want to use it!). Let it sit for five then wash off with cool if not cold water. Pat dry and follow up with your favorite moisturizer.
Remember, you should only exfoliate 1- 2 times a week.
