What You Need:
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
- 2 Teaspoons Water
For Sensitive Skin:
- 1 Tablespoon Bentonite Clay
- 1 Teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 Teaspoons Water
What To Do:
Whether you are using the simple 2 ingredient baking soda solution or if you have more sensitive skin and are trying out the second one, aside from the ingredients, making the detox and actually applying it is more or less the same. So to make the detox, with both kinds, just mix all the ingredients together until you have a paste like substance. Done.
- Note: Do not use a metal spoon to mix. The metal may create some unwanted chemical reaction. So use a wooden one if you can. If you don’t have a wooden spoon, your fingers are the next best thing.
How To Apply:
Take your homemade armpit detox paste and gently rub it on to your underarms in a gentle, circular manner. Apply evenly. Let it sit for about 15-20 minutes. Some people may feel either an itching or stinging sensation and because the skin there is really sensitive, it may turn red. These will subside. But if it is unbearable before the 15 minutes are up, rinse off with warm water.
- Note: A good follow up would be to mix freshly squeezed lemon juice and some water. Use this solution to cleanse your underarms further. Not only with the citric acid kill bacteria, but it will also help whiten your underarms too.
Do this cleanse two to three times a week.
