Eczema : causes, signs symptoms, treatment of eczema

Eczema skin disorder:-

Eczema is a skin disorder, is a form of dermatitis, results in inflammation of upper layer of skin.
dryness of skin and recurrent skin rashes are the main symptoms of Eczema. Dryness, redness, itching, edema of skin, crusting, flaking, blistering, oozing, bleeding are the symptoms of Eczema.

Signs and symptoms of Eczema:-

The Eczema is of different types and the signs and symptoms of  Eczema are

* dry skin,
* red discolouration of skin,
* blistering of skin,
* itchy skin,
* scaling of skin and rupture due to scratching.
* back of knees, face, neck, and hands are much affected with Eczema.

Causes of Eczema:-

* Exact cause of Eczema are not known.
* Genetic inheritance,
* some triggers that increases the symptoms of eczema are
* soaps, detergents and chemicals,
* inhalation of pollen and dust,
* bacterial and viral infection,
* food allergies,
* excess dryness of skin,
* exposure to excess heat,
* stress etc.

Treatment of Eczema:-

There is no cure for  ECZEMA. Treatment is given to control eczema.

EMOLIANTS :- Which smooths the skin and moisturises by hydrating skin. The emollients to be applied daily even symptoms are less. Aqueous cream, and E45 are examples of Emollients. Emollients are applied directly to skin, as other creams. oils and washes are specially formed to apply for Eczema.

Mild Steroid creams :- The steroid cream such as hydro-cortisone are applied to control the flare up of Eczema. The steroids suppress the body immune system and reduces inflammation.

Treatment of Eczema with prescription medicines are:-

* strong topical steroid creams,
* oral steroids,
* immunosuppressant tablets,
* antihistamine drugs and
* antibiotics are the prescription drugs for Eczema.
