Heart attack : immediate care at home

Heart attack:-

“sudden death of myocardial tissue due to decreased blood supply is called as heart attack”. due to cell death pain is felt i.e. chest pain and that is the main symptom of heart attack. as heart is unable to meet body oxygen needs, respiration is increased during heart attack. Vomiting sensation is experienced during heart attack. as fear increases, sweating is present during heart attack.

Immediate care at home for heart attack:-

* give aspirin tablet as aspirin reduces platelet aggregation hence removes clot and reduces risk of heart attack.
* provide complete bed rest in lying down position. because rest reduces body’s oxygen requirement and reduces work load of heart, helps in preventing further heart attack.
* make the patient comfortable, if wearing tight clothes, loosen the clothes.
* reduce the fear and anxiety of patient, it reduces risk of heart attack.
* call emergency number for medical treatment.
