- 2 Cups Sea Salt
- ½ Cup Grape Seed Oil
- 7-10 Drops Peppermint Oil
- 7-10 Drops Lavender Oil
- Dried Lavender Buds (Optional but highly recommended!)
- 1 Glass Jar/ Container
What To Do:
The first thing you need to do is make sure that the jar you’re gonna store your homemade lavender foot scrub in is clean and dry. The Next step to do is put in your sea salt. This should fill up about ¾ of the jar. If it doesn’t you can either add or reduce. You want it again, you want it about 3/4ths full.
- TIP: Another option would be to use 1 cup sea salt and 1 cup Epson salt mixed together.
The next step is to pour the grape seed oil. This should pretty much soak your salt. Follow up with the peppermint oil and the lavender oil. Mix in the dried lavender oil, seal, and store or use.
How To Apply:
With your homemade lavender foot scrub ready, take a basin and fill it up with warm water.
- TIP: Add a cup of milk to your water. The lactic acid in the milk actually helps soften your skin.
Dip your feet in and let them soak for a good 10-15 minutes.
Take about a dollop of your homemade foot scrub and start to massage it on to your feet. You can start from the toes, cover the soles too, and you can even make your way up to your shins if you like. Do so in a gentle, circular motion. Focus more on rough patches is any. Let it sit for another 5-10 minutes.
When done, rinse off and follow up with your favorite moisturizer.
