What are some good medication to stop the lithium shakes?  I have really bad tremors from lithium but its my miricle drug… so I have to deal with the side effects somehow… and i’m not  even sure my pdoc will prescribe me ANOTHER medication… because i’m on a LOT… but i’d like an idea of what they use to  stop tremors…. Thanks.

Re: Lithium Shakes
a beta-blocker of some kind would work. if not inderal (propranolol), there’s metoprolol, etc. You should really be talking with your doctor about this. It’s not about how many meds you’re taking but what is the optimal outcome without stressing your liver or something. You seem to have special med issues so I’d say your pdoc probably knows best.

Hi Addict,
I have just started taking Toprol and it seems to help with the Li hand shakes.
