Out of the atypicals I think that Seroquel is, but are there any typicals that are more calming or sedating?

Olanzapine is sedative and Quetiapine even more so – it’ll give the typicals a run for their money. Generally though, the sedative typicals win.

It is my pdocs opinion that people get used to quetiapine.  For that reason he ranks olanzapine as the most sedating atypical.

Oh, yes.  It’s very difficult to keep from upping Seroquel, because one gets used to it.

I have to vary my dosages, using 50 mg one night and only 25 mg the next.
I know those are very small dosages.
I have no choice, though, because my insurance limits me to quantity 60/month of the 25 mg.
And…if I don’t back off…soon I will need 75 mg, which many people take every nite!
Not this people, however, thank you very much insco.
So I am spending many sleepless nites in spite of taking Seroquel.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Makes me want to ask for a Zyprexa Rx also!
Hmmm…maybe I should do that at my next pdoc appointment?
I know…I know…two APs are not a good idea.  <sigh>

Nozinan is more sedating than seroquel.  Its an old AP.  Its very, very sedating.  25 mg can knock out a 200 pound guy within two hours.
