Rheumatoid arthritis:-

Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disorder, causes inflammation of joints by immune reaction against joints. Lungs and kidneys are also affected by autoimmune disorder. Due to joint inflammation, severe pain and gradual dysfunctioning of joints with difficult mobility are the characteristics of rheumatoid arthritis.

  • In Rheumatoid arthritis, the body’s own immune system fights against joints and leads to chronic inflammation of joints, results in pain and immobility of joints.
  • Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic systemic illness lasts for years and patients experience symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis for long time.

Causes of Rheumatoid arthritis:-

  • The exact cause of rheumatoid arthritis is not known. but following are believed causes.
  • Autoimmune disorder.
  • Viruses, bacterias, and other infectious agents may cause joint inflammation.
  • Genetic inheritance.
  • Smoking also increases the risk of rheumatoid arthritis.

Symptoms of Rheumatoid arthritis:-

  • Severe chronic inflammation of joints,
  • When inflammation is high, the pain at joint increases,
  • Swollen, tenderĀ  joints,
  • Stiffness of joints,
  • Muscle and joint stiffness are noticed after inactivity,
  • When inflammation increases, loss of weight, fatigue occur with rheumatoid arthritis.
