Tetralogy of fallot: symptoms
Tetralogy of fallot is a congenital heart disorder, characterised by ventricular septal defect,
pulmonary stenosis, overriding of aorta, and right ventricular hypertrophy.
symptoms of tetralogy of fallot:-
* low blood oxygen saturation,
* cyanosis may present at birth or develop later.
* dusky blue colour of skin, lips and mucus membrane.
* some babies won’t turn blue at all if pulmonary stenosis is narrow.
* babies easily get tired after walk and get relief with squatting position.
* heart murmurs heard on auscultation,
* baby refuses to take feeding,
* poor weight gain,
* retarded physical growth
* irritation and crying,
* dyspnea after exercise, or work,
* clubbing of foot and fingers.
* polycythemia
