Throat infections : causes, symptoms




Throat  infections:-

The infection of pharynx (throat) is called as throat infection. The throat infection is caused by bacterias, or viruses. Sore throat is the common name of throat infection. Throat infection is a painful infection of pharynx.
Even though the common causes of throat infection are bacteria and viruses, the throat infection also can be caused by smoke, inhaling polluted air, and exposure to allergic materials.

Causes of throat infection:-

* viruses are the main causes of throat infection or sore throat. Herpes simplex virus is the common virus causes sore throat.

* Bacterias, such as group A streptococci, heamolytic bacteria may cause sore throat.

* Allergens : Exposures to allergens such as pollens, infected droplet, smoke, inhaling polluted air causes throat infection.

The symptoms of throat infection:

* Fever, headache,

* throat pain while speaking,

* difficulty or pain during swallowing,

* Earache,

* appearance of white patches on throat,

* Swelled lymph nodes,

* Pain at throat on palpating from outside.
