It should be clear to anyone that there is no shortcut to getting six pack abs. It’s going to take hard work and dedication, and it’s going to take time. The key thing to remember is if you are smart and follow the following two simple rules, you CAN and WILL achieve your goal of being the proud owner of six pack abs.

Rule 1: Nutrition

It goes without saying that eating RIGHT is the most important rule for six pack abs. You can do crunches until you’re blue in the face but all those rippling ab muscles will be HIDDEN under layers of FAT if you don’t eat properly.

Stop eating:

  • Sugar
  • Refined carbohydrates
  • Fast food
  • Too much pasta
  • Sweetened cold drinks

Rather balance your diet and have more:

  • Olive oil
  • Fruit and vegetables
  • Nuts
  • Eggs
  • Natural peanut butter
  • Low GI bread
  • Water

Eat more in the beginning of the day, and less at the end of the day. Break up your meals into 5 or 6 mini-meals during the day to keep your metabolism high.

Rule 2: Exercise

You should exercise AT LEAST 3 times a week for 30 to 40 minutes per session. Keep mixing up your exercise routine – instead of hitting a gym, find a new route to walk or run. Find some steps to climb. Climb a tree or jungle gym. Go swimming. Do hard labour around the house. Help someone move into a flat on the third floor. Keep moving – every day if possible.

Results:

Keep up a good routine for at least 3 months. Eat clean, exercise regularly, sleep enough. You will get results and you will maintain a good lifestyle by following the 2 rules of six pack abs. You will feel better and be more confident in yourself.
